If the world was blind.

Image
I'm just another victim, Lord knows I've been no saint. Spending money without restraint, Clothes, make up- just face paint. And damn these beautiful girls, Too many- Covered in diamonds and pearls. The world is so realistic, Encouraging unrealistic perfection, Forgetting the beauty in simplistic. But the pretty gets it easy, With just a little added cheese in your words, They get deeply hazy in the head and you'll get what you want freely, Unlike the ugly, but While we all stress to be well dressed If the world was blind, How many would you impress?

Clown

With a frown she looks at me, As if I'm a clown drowning, In lack of anticipation of hell People are capable of giving. "It's bad" she cries to me, "They often don't mean well." Coating the stew with icing, But what's brewing in that spell? It's a merciless world she insists. But my parents rarely tell me this. So I don't intuitively turn to malevolence, What goodness in that have I missed? She mocks my naivety, watching the contuse. Ready with "I told you so" to bombard me with "I know"s. See I can enter a world you've denied access to, A land where thorns on roses don't grow. You'll debate that's not reality, But in perception 'truth' doesn't exist. Reality to each is subjective. Whatever helps us subsist. In the midst of all this- fine, I'll be your clown, In my unjaded ways I persist. So no more love for you, no more hurt again, But how much goodness in that have ...

The road to independence.

All of a sudden I'm growing so fast, Far away from home, independent at last. The days seem endless and so repetitive. And the competitive side of me, Refuses to let tears hit the floor... Father said sweat is what success demands for. Overwhelmed by high expectations, Amazing is standard - no congratulations given. Every day such a battle in attempting to thrive, I'm surviving but I long to be alive.

"Love is art, not from bodies but from the heart."

Love is like art, It's not from the bodies, But straight from the heart. To everyone no matter what sort, Without labels without tort.

The awkward poem

A sea on the desert, A window on the table. A widow with a husband, A crocodile in the stable. A tomato in the shelf, A book inside the fridge. A cow underwater, A crack on the bridge. A slipper on the hand, A beaming sun at night. A pillow on the road, A boar that is white. A Buddha at church. A TV in exams, A flower that won't blossom, A horse that makes ham. A fly as a pet, A summertime ski, A shark in the tub, A rosebud in the sea.

Somewhere over the rainbow.

They say somewhere over the rainbow blue birds fly, But there is more unheard to that. Lurking somewhere over the rainbow, the black beauty gives life to the meadows. There's cotton candy made from clouds, and you may fly by the wings of a condor. Swings that attach to the rainbow sways 180 degrees, it's safe to fall off a place that defies all gravity. And there you find the wizard of Oz, Generously he instills you wisdom. You can ride on Aslan like Little Lucy did, Touring each corner of his kingdom. Suddenly sunsets lasts double the hour, Witness the beaches on high tide. The majesty's work on an eternal canvas, Paints each land and ocean's divides.
