Run. Run. Run

"I disagree with your values" But why did you marry the man? If you knew you wouldn't get along, Why did you marry the man? Why'd you bang down the door And adopt the family name, You were told to think thrice, Before your last names turned the same. Now you complain and disagree When things don't go your way, Now you trash and tantrum, Whose price is it to pay? We told you to, run, run, run. Life is young and so were you Burning brighter than the sun. Now you want to shelter, rest, From the gear that weighs a ton. Everyone hurts pointlessly, To a vow that can't be undone. In a marriage with no winners, That brings happiness to none.

Something about playing with fire.

Something about playing with fire. Let it light brighter. A mélange of red, orange, blue, white, yellow, Hello fellows. Lusting with passion, burning with the desire to action, Endless energy, intense attraction. A silent reverie that longs to be spoken. Do it, regardless what will be broken. Consequences are for after, Now is laughter. Later maybe disaster. But whatever, I'll play fire. I'll burn later.

Poetry for a friend.

My dearest friend indeed, You're not in need, You have, all that you need. Stop greeding. Why can't you see? We're all meant to be Here, with our own purposes to mean something, No one has nothing to offer we all have something to bring to the table Even Jesus was a baby born in a sable. We grow unstably. Wondering why we're put in this world, where we're supposed to go. But the answer is no, you're not supposed to know. The answers to the questions remain unknown. Forget about the people, What do they know? You'll never stop them from talking. They have the right to speak and you have the power to keep walking. Open your eyes to determine those that matter. Figure out who'll stay when the rest scatter. Be kind and gentle to yourself cause only then you'll reach a state of zen and when you do You won't have to constantly ask, Who's loving you.

One over two.

Hey, where'd you come from? Who sent you here to save me? I knew you all along but how did you find me? I was about to be the casualty of love. Love, Something I thought unworthy of thought. Something I can never get a hold of. Then like Prince Charming you came, On your white horse without the same lame ways like the rest that try to aflame me with those games. You ride so subtle I didn't anticipate you stepping into my world so quiet, so present. The chivalry, like a real gent. You're my present, presented so pleasantly meant to be for me. You have my friends participating and facilitating our story till they imitate how intimate we are. How close we are. How completely you accept me it's almost bizzare. All my insecurities so insignificant with you, All these other men, man you outdo them and so I thank you. For being true, appearing out of the blue my Prince. Who knew. That one day you'd be my one over two.

Morning.

There is a certain solitude to the hours where fair skies are hidden, but garnished with subtle pensive rays. and in between our quiet twilight cheers to early day. Ascending glory is the sun, that scatters the mist where it hung- Ratifying birds chirping to deliver the sound of whisper, the blushes of an early dawn in shades of rosey hue. the wakening of crisp scented leaves caressed by gems of crystal dew. fierce and fearful mother nature bequeathing splendor through the acres, caters tender in mornings I so humbly respect.

Let me love you.

Can I love you? Let me, cause I already do. Just the way you look at me, The way you love my family. How you play it coy, How much joy being with you brings to my life. How bad it hurts to say every goodbye. It never gets easier, Every time we part I get crazier at the idea of us. But is it useless?

Clown

With a frown she looks at me, As if I'm a clown drowning, In lack of anticipation of hell People are capable of giving. "It's bad" she cries to me, "They often don't mean well." Coating the stew with icing, But what's brewing in that spell? It's a merciless world she insists. But my parents rarely tell me this. So I don't intuitively turn to malevolence, What goodness in that have I missed? She mocks my naivety, watching the contuse. Ready with "I told you so" to bombard me with "I know"s. See I can enter a world you've denied access to, A land where thorns on roses don't grow. You'll debate that's not reality, But in perception 'truth' doesn't exist. Reality to each is subjective. Whatever helps us subsist. In the midst of all this- fine, I'll be your clown, In my unjaded ways I persist. So no more love for you, no more hurt again, But how much goodness in that have ...

Fool in love

Your blue eyes stare at me with nothing less than sincerity, Your sugar coated words got me believing in me. Your kisses so soft and tender, it takes a million to suffice. Your touch lingers around my body, I'd pay any price, To spend time and understand you... Let your guards down and make you a better man, Like the way you effortlessly extract the goodness within me. You remember all the abstracts- shuffle my muffles, And fit them together like a jigsaw puzzle. What started off as a flirting flame had no one to blame. Sparks fly and we've become something real, The attraction we feel, so strong and enchanting... In games there is always a loser but to me you're not a game. What is it you perceive? a sea of ecstasy, a world of fantasy, a sense of majesty? Do you do it to just relax, release, feel relief and set yourself free? When you hold me, are you alive ? Are you feeling me or is it just a touch? Do you care or am I asking too much? Are you clo...

Rain.

Image
There's something about rain, Hitting grounds, slipping through drains. Soft then loud, crowded with clouds. No one speaks when nature is talking. Streets are gloomy yet colored with umbrellas walking. I sit on my bed with a book in one hand, The rain beats to the rhythm of my reads. My coffee rests on my bed side table, As the thunder reminds me when to sip and proceed. The rain keeps knocking on my window pane, It sings me a mellow lullaby. With my eyes half closed, I watch the plants rejoice. I gently fall asleep to the sound of rain's voice. *Inspired by a conversation with my best friend, Carmen S.

Things to remember.

As I vision myself looking out the windows of the plane that removes me from home, I know I will have things to remember. I will remember... 1. That even though I'm by myself, there'll be people that are there for me.  2. When I have an awful day, dad is just a phone call away. 3. Should I fall sick, mom's honey recipe is always a splendid remedy . 4. If I miss the skyline, post cards will display the images of  home guarantee.  5. Good times will be shared with the ones back at home, 6. I'll make regular phone calls to make sure no one's alone. 7. I won't forget the way I've been brought up and the principles I hold, 8. To represent my country with more pride than I owe.  9. To maintain a smile and mean it as much as I can, 10. Work out what life is gradually and have a flexible plan. 11. Facebook will be used to keep in touch with old friends, 12. Be forever grateful to the ones that comprehend, mend and cleanse me.  13. Sinc...

I'll make love to jazz.

On that piano with that bass, Something lures my voice. Rolling in the silky shaped bed,  I'll make love to jazz, Scatting and swinging,  Singing slow with passion and sweetness, Hitting the blue notes as I go. Drunk in the sensual sex of each melody. 'At last' on a late afternoon, Listen to the saxophone's seduction, Please fly me to the moon.

Maybe

Maybe on a summer day, We'll cross each other's path. Pick up the courage to give it a try, Like we both know we should. Maybe on a winter day, You'll snowboard and I'll ski. We'll do all sorts of crazy together, Start by building a house on a tree. Maybe on an autumn day, We can go pick colored leaves, If we're bored we can pack, For a short visit to Geneve. Maybe on a spring day, When the weather is kind and warmer, We can marry beside the sea, On the beach around that corner.

Lost un found.

On an ordinary day, Left home to dig under the sea. Hoping to bring some treasures home, He sits so patiently. The waves were exceedingly excited to welcome A rare guest on such occasions. Through the rocks and slippery mosses, Falling with vagrancy. They cannot find him, He has not been found. Uncertain of his home bound. *This poem is triggered by a tragedy that happened very recently to a friend's father. May he come home safe and may we cherish all that we have and the ones that we love.

Graduation

Image
Who would've thought we'd all see the day, Where we would  graduate, be off and away. Four years in the same place with the same faces, In the corners of each room we leave our traces. Now we all have to part our own ways, Soon we'll face living rooms with our own bills to pay. May a map and a bible be the guide if we're lost, Return home to our families every summer, every frost. Good luck to us all in whatever we choose to do, Thank you for the people I could always turn to. With success in our reach, together let's chase our dreams, A bittersweet kiss farewell to the time of our teens.

3:10

"Three little birds sat on my window, And they told me I don't need to worry." Four clouds made the sun a little more blurry. They said "Take life slow, don't scurry." Five brooks playfully washes it self in the day. "Laughing when it trips and falls over stones on it's way" Six horses march proudly over the grass, Patient and politely they let the rabbits pass. Seven streaks of magenta orange penetrate the sky, And  "Somewhere over the rainbow blue birds fly." Eight windows are caressed by the wind, Subtly and slowly they seductively swing. Nine children wait for their tooth fairy, Under their pillows are buried berries as bait. Ten stars align to see who shines brightest, The moon comes out to judge the contest. *Songspiration: A little activity where the stimulus were lyrics from random song chosen by 3 f am ily members. I won't find another you.

Every time I have hope that you still care, It doesn't take too long to see, you don't really. Life is all about you and yourself. I'm honest about what I feel but I end up - 'insecure and needy'. All excuses, they're hurtful and lame. You want love, happiness, fortune and fame. It's good to be ambitious for man to build up a name. But careful, going too fast makes one lose meaning of the game. "One simply cannot have it all." Mother always said, Everyday she reminded as she tucked me to bed. You proved w hat we had isn't worth the tears that I've shed, From now on, I'll won't let you get to my head, Focus on someone that truly loves me instead. Thank you for showing me the ups of our breakup, It won't be the end of the world when we're through. I'll try to forgive and forget all the chances you blew. I'll find someone better. Please stay- watch what I'll do.  I know I won't ever find ano...

"Love is art, not from bodies but from the heart."

Love is like art, It's not from the bodies, But straight from the heart. To everyone no matter what sort, Without labels without tort.

Excuse

All the songs I got, Couldn't save the love you lost. An arrow was aimed that shot down our dove. In the court, where you are king; Your love, it has always reigned supreme. What else could I have wanted? Nothing babe. Sure we've taken our turns, We took turns to clear the burns, Am I right to say they're not always for the worst? They'll be more than once where you'll think back and smile. I know you thought you could not afford, All the things that I asked you for, But I know for me, your love always came first. I'll never forget your silly comments and flaws, Nor the beautiful things about you that you say you hate. I'll remember every second of our every date. Life reminds me of your face, All the time in whatever I do, And if it takes me too long to get over you, So be it babe. I won't say that I understand when I really can't. I'm no greatness, just a girl aching for your hands. So i...

Dawn of dreams

Image
I dream a bed of roses, a road to the rainbow;  a land of totality, a bisque unicorn;  a vast sugar cane field and a lightning bug show.
